Notes on Nona's House

I wrote this story a few years ago in a writing class where the assignment was to write about someone in your family. The story just began to write itself and is mostly true, although I've made a few changes to make it flow a little more easily than it did in real life. It just took Second Prize at the Words Alive Literary Festival in Sharon, Ontario which was kind of a thrill, but more importantly, made me want to start writing again in a more serious way.
